By accessing this website or using a Sugar Industry Innovation Symposium & Expo digital service, you agree to use it lawfully, accurately and in a manner consistent with the purpose of the event.
Last updated: 25 August 20261. About these terms
These Terms of Service govern use of the Sugar Industry Innovation Symposium & Expo website and associated online services operated by the Kenya Sugar Board. Specific activities—including exhibition participation, innovation submissions, payments or invitations—may also be subject to published guidelines, packages, deadlines or conditions applicable to that activity.
2. Accurate information
You are responsible for ensuring that information supplied through our services is complete and accurate. Where you submit information on behalf of an organisation, you should be authorised to do so. We may request clarification or supporting information where reasonably necessary to process a registration, submission, payment or other request.
3. Accounts and access
Where an account or secure link is issued to you, you are responsible for keeping access credentials confidential and for activity carried out using them. You must not attempt to access another participant’s account, circumvent security controls, interfere with the platform, automate abusive requests or use the service for unlawful purposes.
4. Registration and participation
Submitting a registration does not by itself guarantee admission, exhibition space, speaking opportunity, award eligibility or any other benefit unless the applicable process expressly confirms it. Participation remains subject to the requirements, capacity, deadlines, approvals and conditions published for the relevant category.
5. Exhibition bookings and payments
Exhibition packages, availability and charges are those presented through the official Symposium & Expo channels at the relevant time. Booth availability may change until allocation is successfully completed. Payment, verification, allocation, cancellations and related administrative actions are governed by the applicable exhibition process and official documents issued for the booking.
6. Innovation submissions
Persons submitting innovations or papers remain responsible for the accuracy, originality and lawful use of the material they provide. Submission does not guarantee selection, presentation or an award. Evaluation and judging are conducted under the applicable published criteria and event process.
7. Official documents and invitations
Invoices, receipts, invitation letters, confirmations and other documents are valid only when issued through an authorised Kenya Sugar Board process. A document must not be altered, misrepresented or used for a purpose beyond that for which it was issued. Where a document expressly states that it is not an official travel invitation, it must not be represented as one.
8. Website content and intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, website content, event branding, publications and platform materials are owned by or used with permission of the Kenya Sugar Board. You may access and download publicly provided resources for legitimate informational or participation purposes. You may not falsely imply endorsement, remove ownership notices, or reproduce protected material commercially without appropriate permission.
9. External links and services
Our website may link to third-party or government services. Such links are provided to support event processes or for convenience. We do not control independent external websites, and their own terms, availability and privacy practices may apply.
10. Availability and changes
We work to keep our digital services available and accurate, but temporary interruptions, maintenance or corrections may occur. Event information, schedules and operational arrangements may be updated where necessary. Material changes will be communicated through appropriate official channels.
11. Misuse and suspension
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect participants, prevent fraud or abuse, preserve platform security, investigate suspected misuse or comply with legal requirements. Deliberately false, fraudulent or manipulated submissions may also be rejected or referred for appropriate action.
12. Applicable law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded.
