Call for Papers

The Kenya Sugar Board is pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the Sugar Industry Innovation Symposium & Expo 2025, taking place from December 2nd to 4th, 2025, at the Grand Royal Swiss Hotel in Kisumu. This year’s theme is "Towards a Globally Competitive Sugar Industry," calling for bold ideas that can shape the future of the sector through cutting-edge innovation, sustainable solutions, and strategic partnerships. We invite researchers, innovators, and industry professionals to submit their papers across the sugar value chain.

• Submission Process:
  Papers should be submitted electronically in PDF format via email to info@sugarinnovation.go.ke. The subject line should read “Sugar Industry Innovation Symposium and Expo 2025.” The file should be named with the author’s last name (e.g., Kyalo.pdf).
• Structure:
  >> Include the sections: Introduction, Methodology, Discussion, Conclusions, and References, with one line space before and after each section title.
  >> Tables should be inserted in the text and numbered consecutively with Roman numerals, with titles centered at the top.
  >> Figures should be inserted and numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals, with titles centered at the bottom. Figures should also be submitted separately in jpg format, following their order in the paper.
  >> References should follow APA style.
• Review & Presentation:
  >> Qualified authors/innovators will be notified and invited to present at the Symposium.
