Strengthen Resilience and Sustainability
Promote solutions that strengthen institutional relationships, farmer participation, industry resilience and sustainable performance across the sugar value chain.

The Sugar Industry Innovation Symposium & Expo is a strategic platform for connecting ideas, institutions, investment and implementation across Kenya's sugar value chain.
Kenya's sugar sector remains an important contributor to rural livelihoods, agricultural production, manufacturing, trade and national development. Its potential, however, continues to be constrained by structural and operational challenges including production costs, unreliable cane supply, climate variability, limited access to finance, weak institutions, market instability and slow adoption of modern technologies.
The Kenya Sugar Board established the Sugar Industry Innovation Symposium & Expo as a platform for scouting, showcasing and promoting practical innovations capable of responding to these challenges. It creates space for research to meet industry, innovators to meet investors, farmers to engage decision-makers and solution providers to demonstrate technologies relevant to real value-chain needs.
SIIS & Expo 2026 builds on that role with a stronger emphasis on moving from discussion to implementation — connecting practical ideas with the institutions, partnerships, markets and investment needed to translate them into measurable industry outcomes.
To provide a strategic platform for knowledge exchange, innovation showcasing, investment engagement and stakeholder collaboration in support of a resilient, competitive and sustainable sugar industry.

TUJENGE is a Kiswahili call to build together. For Kenya's sugar industry, it represents more than an event identity — it is a statement of intent and a framework for collective action.
The industry must be rebuilt collaboratively, strengthened institutionally and positioned for efficient, inclusive and sustainable growth.
